It is actually very simple... Begin with any lead.. as small as it may be... as long as it began with your child... and allow a stage for this seed of intention and interest to flourish! First of all what will happen is magical and basic... your child will know and feel that you are trying to understand them, that you are present and willing and full of Love.
For Example:
You child Loves a musical instrument. For instance a xylophone... or Metalophone (as I just learnt that it is called if the keys are made of metal and not wood.
You watch your child taking apart the keys and letting them fall to the ground making a noise upon impact... How fabulous is this research that your child is doing! There are sounds, notes, music, colors, building involved! take this seemingly simple experience and expand it! go for it! show your child the color matching and the sound difference and the imagination play of making a xylophone out of plasticine! go wild! be a child and you will find yourself excited and happy TOGETHER with your child! its easy... just free your mind!
You dont have to learn how to play the xylophone! you only need to explore different angles of the situation and grow them.
You will see the light in your childs eyes and you will understand more than ever that communication begins eons before speech does!
