Simply buy a packet of styrofoam shapes and a packet of thumb tacks at a local dollar store. You can enjoy hours of fun coloring them with markers, crayons or paints as well as sticking colorful pins into them.
If you have your beautiful child’s attention then when they reach for a colorful pin place them near your eyes and face so that you will receive an “accidental“ glance into your eyes... of course immediately respond with a positive affirmation such as “you looked at me and I understand that you want a pin.. here you go”.. “yes! Here is a pin.. I understand what you want”...
you could also request that your child uses their hands to gesture that they would like you to give them a colorful pin..
you could place the colorful pins in a see through box and have your child request that you open it for them by using the “open” gesture or saying open..
You could roll the Balls from one to the other and create a ball game...
you could draw rainbows or choose what colors you would like to paint the balls together.
